Text Box: Grist Mill Fine Arts Council, Inc. was established in 1977 to bring the full range of artistic expression and appreciation to southwest Iowa. Since 1977, Grist Mill has presented stage musicals, reviews, plays, visual art shows, melodramas, literary events, home and garden tours, Olde English Christmas Feasts, puppet shows, elegant dinners, vocal and instrumental music concerts, fashion shows, a general store and annual senior high school awards.

Text Box: For 2009 pre-school through high school get free admission to Grist Mill shows and events. Text Box: Summer Vacation and Construction             The Grist Mill Gallery Gift Shop will be closed during July for summer vacation and for some very important remodeling.  The board of directors of Grist Mill Fine Arts Council will be replacing and rebuilding the large front windows on the lobby side of the theater.              Following that installation, some other remodeling and painting will take place in the lobby.  Depending how quickly that work proceeds, look for the gift shop to open early in August or, at the very latest, in time for Donia Day on August 22.
